Enclosed in a durable 16-gauge heat shield that uses the lower half of the factory air box, a massive 5-1/2 inch washable/reusable, 360 degree conical Pro 5R air filter increases airflow by 69 percent resulting in an additional 8 HP and 13 pounds x feet torque. This intake system also features a 3-angle adaptor for increased air velocity and a heat insulating black powder coated aluminum tube that replaces the stock intake tract. The one-piece heat shield requires no assembly and the filter is constructed with 100 percent polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. Manifold Air Pressure sensor - In 2012 Ford began using a Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) sensor instead of a Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF). This intake is designed specifically to be used with the factory MAP sensor. 5-1/2 inch conical filter with inverted top - this intake utilizes a huge, 5-1/2 inch oval conical Pro 5R performance air filter with inverted top for maximum flow.
