Engineers teamed up with airflow specialists at RHS to develop a polymer intake manifold for rectangular port GM LS7 engines. Testing on a stock engine with a Big Mouth 102 millimeter Throttle Body produced gains of 14+ horsepower and 11+ feet/pounds of torque at the flywheel over the stock intake. The LSXR 102 millimeter intake manifold features a three-piece modular design that allows easy disassembly and porting. Extensive testing led to a runner design that is longer and less restrictive and gives the user the ability to remove individual runners from the manifold for modification. Constructed from the same advanced polymer material as the LSX 92 millimeter intake manifold, the LSXR offers a host of benefits over aluminum aftermarket intakes, including lighter weight, increased strength and improved heat dissipating characteristics. While the LSXR features a 102 millimeter air inlet that is perfectly suited to the FAST Big Mouth 102 millimeter Throttle Body, it can also be used with stock or aftermarket 90 millimeter or 92 millimeter throttle bodies.
